…And the land bleeds for “development”…

In the prime of his life, my nana worked on the Diamond Estate to support nani and his 9 children. In those days, the lush cane fields gave life. Now, decades later, this is what the estate looks like. Soon it will be nothing but a ghost of our past. My memory still conjures images of cane leaves gently swaying in the afternoon breeze. But, what will happen when memory fails?
